Welcome to Holy Neck Christian Church’s Frequently Asked Questions Page!
We’re glad you’re interested in HNCC and you are invited to worship with us!
If you are seeking a church home, we hope that you will continue to worship with us regularly and consider HNCC!
What you may want to know:
Children’s Moments with the Pastor: During the worship service, children will be invited to come to the front of the sanctuary for a Children’smessage. Your child may return to sit with you or go to Children’s Church.
Children’s Church: After the Children’s Moments with the Pastor, children 4 years old – 3rd grade are welcome to go to Children’s Church where theywill engage in age-appropriate worship activities.
Nursery: Located on the left of the building, just inside the left side door. Access it by either (1) going through the sanctuary’s front left door (near the choir loft), to the last door on the right; or (2) going out the front sanctuary door, taking a right to the side door, to the room on the left. The Nursery provides child care during worship each Sunday for children under the age of 4. For safety, you are asked to sign-in/out your child and use a pager.
Children’s bulletins and large print bulletins are available in the foyer.
Earphones are available for the hearing impaired. (See the Sound Tech.)
If you have a prayer request to share, fill out a blue prayer request card and place it in the offering plate during the offering.
DVD’s of our worship services are available. Sign up on the hall table.
Shawls are available in the hallway if you are chilly during worship!
Questions often asked about church membership at HNCC:
How may I join? We are always delighted when someone decides to make HNCC their church home. While you certainly do not have to become an official member to be part of the life of our congregation, we encourage this commitment by those who are ready to make it.
First, speak with Pastor Dave about your intentions. He will guide you through this.
We receive new members in one of three ways;
- by baptism and profession of faith (if you have never been baptized);
- by transfer of letter from another church where you have recently been active; or
- by reaffirmation of faith (if you have been baptized but have not recently been active in another congregation).
Can I join a Sunday School Class without being a member?
Yes! It’s a great way to get to know people and find out more about our church.
